Raising Babybats; or On Being a Gothy Parent
(Thank you, as always, to
staxxy for being a second pair of eyes. Also, this lesson is dedicated, with much love, to Trip and Princess Tickybox.)
If all of you could help spread the word that a new lesson is up, that would be Most Helpful.
Now I should really start writing next month's lesson, since I pretty much know what I want to write about ...

Tonight, there was unprompted Hail Clovising from little lips.
By unprompted, I mean, she started spouting off about Hail Clovis and Something Something Rabbits entirely at random while hanging out with me before her bath.

Excellent lesson.
My Little Miss seems to be picking up on all of my friends' cool interests, which can only be good. Her two dollies are Sunshine (who has a teddy bear) and Darkness (who has a pet bat), she loves historical costumes, and she often runs around the house in a lab coat and goggles while doing "Science!", which is sometimes also called "Potions!".
And my desperation for adult conversation - omigodyeshelpmehelpme! :)

Re: Excellent lesson.
that's the cutest thing I've ever read.
Jilli, terrific lesson! Even though I'm not remotely Gothy (did wear black to the hearing... yeah. Still doesn't count, I know) it *is* beautifully applicable to every subculture. It speaks to the difficulty retaining (and redefining) the essence of yourself while existentially changing to also be "mommy" or "daddy." Beautifully said!
