Oh no, weather!
Of course, the rain/sleet/snow mixture did trigger the Traditional Weather Phone Call to my parents, during which I vehemently denied summoning the Snow Demons, and my mother didn't believe me. Normally, I would be all for snow. I like snow. But I don't like having to go to work in the snow, because a) Seattle has a lot of hills; b) my work commute is already not a fun one, and any sort of odd weather makes it worse, and c) most Seattle drivers are not good at snow. But mom assumes that if there's snow in our area, it's due to my standing at a window chanting "Snow! Snow! Snow! Yaaaaaaay snow!"
(Why yes, I did this as a child. And a teen. And maybe as recently as last year, when I was in between jobs and didn't have to worry about getting to the Eastside during an attack of Weather.)
---
Thanksgiving was good. Busy, but good. As to being thankful about things, I'm just going to re-post what I said last year:
I try to think of something I'm thankful for every day; I am so, SO insanely lucky in my life that I try to make sure I acknowledge that fact (even if just in the privacy of my head) all the time. Because I have a very good life, with a wonderful husband, loving (and not crazy-making, but the good sort of crazy) parents, and my beloved chosen family and friends. I try never to take any of it for granted.

I am finally getting thankful again
This month, since going to New Orleans, I really have been realizing how much he would want me to be happy.
I am thankful that I do not have a commute in weather like you Jilli.
This is one of the few GOOD THINGS about being disabled (it is to laugh, but it is true!)
And I am thankful that you are happy and safe.
HUGS!!
