Mostly random and somewhat shallow, but it's not like I ever post a lot of Deep Thoughts here. You people love me anyway, right?

- The Goodwill Glitter Sale? Good. I didn't come away with oodles of things, but an antique be-ruffled silk capelet is nothing to sneer at. Plus, we found an Giant Economy-Sized clone of [livejournal.com profile] clovisdvlbunny! Apparently the Dearborne Goodwill is where all the clones and siblings of my beloved fuzzy critters magically appear at.

- Got a bunch of small, fiddly clothing alteration projects done. Note to Self: you need to buy more black gathered lace.

- Finally started writing on a idea that's been rattling around in my head for a year or more. No, I'm not officially participating in NaNoWriMo, but I am using it as a goad to prompt me to do more writing.

- Thanks to a lot of help from [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage, my bangs (er, fringe for the UK folks) have been trimmed back into a curving batwing shape. I'd missed having gothy-goth bangs. Yes, they take a lot of upkeep, but now that I know [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage is good at this, the upkeep will be easier. Now I just need to get the ends of my hair trimmed ...

- Was Whole Foods selling the ginger whipped yams last year, and I just didn't try them? They're my new favorite convenience food, along with the polenta cakes with prosciutto and leeks.

- The scale is moving again, and in a downward direction. I am now officially 15lbs away from my goal weight.

Possibly Coming Soon: posts about the clothing items I am always searching for, more ranting discussion about Goth and the mainstream fashion industry, posts about why it seems that all the good vampire novels that have been published recently are YA, and probably posts about whatever shiny thing next grabs my attention.

Not only does it seem you're doing loads of good, that food you mentioned also sounds very tasty. Oh...now I'm hungry again! lol *grumbles at combo of anti-depressents and anti-anxiety pills making me a bottomless pit again*

I found 4" wide cotton lace on clearance at Hancock for cheap. They have 26 more yards. It is white but, since it's 100% cotton, it's dyeable. I have oodles of Procyon dye, including black.

Any time I read that someone is successfully losing weight, I ask what has worked for them. Would you mind sharing what has been a success for you? I'm always looking for some good tidbits to put to use.

What has worked for me? Weight Watchers. It is the ONLY thing that has helped me lose weight and keep it off. I've lost 35lbs over the course of a year and a half. I probably could have lost more weight or lost it faster if I had been a little more regular in my exercise habits, but as it is, 35lbs without gaining any back is something I have never been able to do.
