I'm NOT going to be at S&B tonight (if it even happens). Not only am I tired and cranky from a very long class/training session thing, but I feel like I'm fighting off another round of The Ick, and I don't want to make anyone else unwell.

Coming Soon! A short write-up of the fun socializing-type things I did over the weekend, why being married to an artist is useful when dabbling with stage blood, and possibly a post about some dresses I'm selling.

But for now, more hot tea.

1) Aw. I was actually planning on coming.
2) "Usual suspect". I like the sound of that.

Consider this Virtual Stitch & Bitch: I have discovered a stunning source of stretch lace. Look at the prices. It's fine quality, and it shows up (postage + handling on $36 worth was about $5) in three days. I got several sizes (there is a 6" "boyshorts" or "tanga" size! Eeee! I am so going to make lingerie!) of stretch lace, and some fancy elastic in black, black, black, pale pink, eggshell blue, and light green. All I wanted was a hair band...

PS, it's the Stretch Lace Trim I'm talking about. I'm not an expert, but I've already started making some pretty fancy little confections. Other good colors include eggplant, dark lavendar, cream, blush... a lot of moody and delicate shades here. So yummy.

I am also going to replace ALL of my skirts' elastics with this sweeter, softer form of elastic, either inside gathered waistbands, or sewn outside, decorative slip style. Stretch lace revolution!

Thank you for telling me about this place! The prices look better than what I can find on eBay.

I am very tempted to try my hand at making some underthings. It can't be that difficult to make knickers; what, three pieces of fabric, total?

oooOOOOooooOOooooOOO - purty!

And since this is virtual SnB, I'll announce that I was inspired by clovisdvlbunny's post, looking for minions... and have made a pattern for a knit-yer-own bunny minion. Could even be a zombie. I'm still working on it, but it's almost done. :)

*Eyes and Ears Perk Up* Dresses for sale. Can't wait to hear more about them. Hopefully I have a few $ for that sort of thing.

Hope you're feeling better really soon. Hugs!!

I loves me some fake blood. What fun!

Yes artists are good for something

I got a call from Chicago on how to mix a color today.
Try telling a color blind person OVER THE PHONE how to mix "tan" *le sigh*
I am pretty darn good with blood if I do say so myself....

But I am sure Pete is BETTER!
