- During this week's meeting with my work mentor (the woman who was the editor before me on this team), she said "I think you're doing a great job, [manager] thinks you're perfect. So just keep doing what you're doing". Eeeee! And yes, I'm going to re-read this post whenever I'm having a bad day at work.

- I had lunch today with the wonderful and charming [livejournal.com profile] gaaneden. I *must* do that more often.

- In having lunch with her, I discovered that other buildings on campus have much better cafeterias than mine. So much better that I'm probably willing to walk down the hill to get to them instead of staring dejectedly at what's available at my local cafeteria. (::coughs::That is, on the days that I have not managed to bring a healthy packed lunch with me. Which shouldn't be very often at all.)

- Chatted a bit last night with [livejournal.com profile] djeternaldarkne about a possible plan. [livejournal.com profile] bittergourd, sweetie? I need to talk to you about possibly designing a flier for something ...

- I have two brand-new EGA dresses I'm going to be selling. They're both very cute, they're just not full enough in the skirts for my petticoats. There will be a post with the details coming Real Soon Now.

  • Black leather pointy-toe flats with velvet bows. (From Newport News, and they're oh-so comfy!)

  • Black and grey vertical striped stockings.

  • Black cotton, lace-trimmed, knee-length circle skirt, worn over a black & white petticoat.

  • Black, v-necked, princess-seamed, slightly above knee-length, full-skirted, stretch velvet dress, with 6" point lace at the hem.

  • Black lace, ruffled, high-collared Victorian-esque blouse worn under the dress.

  • Hair pulled back into a high ponytail with lace-festooned hair ties.

  • Jewelry is an ornate cameo brooch at the center of the blouse's collar, a black faceted bead rosary with a silver ankh instead of a cross, and all the usual rings.

  • Makeup is a light dusting of Aromaleigh powder in N1, deep burgundy/fuchsia eyeshadow over the outer third of my eyelids, dark smokey purple/black eyeshadow as liner and blended into the burgundy/fuchsia color, pale shimmery white dusted over those two colors, and lots of black mascara. And deep burgundy/pomegranate lipstick, by way of MAC "velvetella" liner and Dior PlasticShine in "outspoken violet". (Strangely, the multi-colored eyeshadow took no longer to apply than my usual shimmery white shadow + liquid liner. That kinda surprised me.)

For some reason, I have been longing for purple eyeshadow. Never mind that I have yet to find a saturated purple shadow that looks good on me, I still want one. I wonder if I could trick ask [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage to go to the MAC counter with me this weekend ...

Heya, I have a lavender and darker purple MAC shadows that I've used about twice - they just don't quite do it for me. Might be willing to part with them for considerably less.

It was wonderful having lunch with you. :) I would love to do it again soon. So, would you mind putting sizes on the things you are selling to see if I have a chance in hell in fitting into any of it?

Go you! Long ago, after I got fired by Suckass Boss, and got a new job, I had a little notebook where I kept all the compliments I got from the end users of my work, and I used to take it out and read it when I had a bad day. I think I still have it somewhere. :)

1) I just bought something from you, and I'm poor.
I just bought something from you, and I'm poor.
I just bought something from you, and I'm poor.
*deep breaths*

2) Is there any sacrifice I could make to get you to do my makeup? If so, what or who is it?

3) Mm, plans.

I won't be home on Monday night... but if you're around on the weekend I should be sorting/cleaning/packing/having a tag sale to take advantage of the Farmer's Market crowd.

What building are you in again?

Freakishly enough, building 50 has a great cafeteria. It's worth a go, especially if they have the rotisserie chicken.

yay for the good review from your mentor! :-)

I don't know why, but every time I read the letters SFD, I think "Seattle Fire Department".

sigh.

I have an eggplant eyeshadow that is on the cheap. Umm... I will look up the details later but it looks great with my skin color and eye color and I bet that means it would for you too.

^_^ I always love reading your posts. They always make me smile and sigh happily. Like looking at fashion magazines, only better.

Mere ASCII can only hint at my happy chairdancing. We'll have to find a time when neither of us is in a mad rush, which for me would mean a night when I'm not clubbing.
