Until then, the short, scattered version:

- Wicked. OMG, Wicked. It was wonderful. The actor playing the Wizard was a little shaky at first, but everything else was fabulous. I managed to keep from completely bursting into tears during "Defying Gravity", but I'm still glad I brought a (black, bat-decorated) handkerchief with me.

- The CD release party was very fun. No, I didn't win a copy of the box set, but that's fine. Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] djeternaldarkne, hon? When I say that I don't want to dance a lot because I'm wearing a high-collared, satin-lined velvet jacket, that is NOT the time to play a 30-minute set of music I like. You seemed to be a bit unclear on that concept.

- Product review! So far, Insolia shoe inserts (clicky link!) seem to be everything they claim. I'm testing them in one of my pairs of Fluevog witchy shoes w/ 3" heels, and ... yeah. My feet don't hurt when I walk. (The main reason I don't wear heels is because I'm a wuss and I can't cope with the balls of my feet hurting.) The real test today will be when I walk to the bus stop; if my feet don't hurt after that, then I will be singing the praises of Insolias to the sky, not to mention buying many sets of them.

I get to see Wicked on the 30th!!

Btw, you looked fabulous in your a high-collared, satin-lined velvet jacket. :)

How much room do the inserts take up? In other words, could I use them in shoes that are exactly the right size or would they be better in shoes that are a half size up? (Either way would be useful, incidentally.)

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

The inserts are (freakishly) small. They don't fill up the footbed of the shoe at all. I'm starting to suspect they work via black magic or something.

(The product website has pictures of them, and shows what they look like when in shoes.)

I'm a pansy about high heels, too -- and I have the Lily Darlings! But I don't wear them! God, I love Fluevogs. Anyway, it's a yes? Ought I to do the Insolias, or what?

(Incidentally, I have bid on a trial size of Chanel Inimitable on eBay, thankyouverymuch.)

So far, I'd say a tentative yes to the Insolias. I'll report how they do with the 20 minute walk to the bus tonight. And yes, the main reason I'm hoping they work wonderfully is so I can wear all my vintage bat-heeled, pointy-toed Fluevogs.

(Are things going better today? I worry about you.)

From: [identity profile] water-of-fire.livejournal.com

Inquiring owners of Fluevogs who are fearful about toe-mashage and general foot-sadness want to know. That sentence is a real mess.

You worry about me? Le eep. Things are so going better today. There's all kinds of crapola (for discussion probably maybe eventually under filters, rama-rama) that needs to get out of my head in theory and into actual practice. And yes. We're all volatile sometimes, aren't we. Thank you for asking. :)

Yes!! I also want to hear the final verdict - I am dying to wear my old spike heels without uh, dying *in* them!

Ooh hey! I have a pair of those Fluevogs, too! They are the LOVE but man yeah they are not for walking. Count me in for looking forward to a review.

In exchange, have you seen this site? A busty friend of mine highly recommends:

but but but, you liked it! You danced and had fun (and the hubby was all watching from the DJ booth too!)

Danced and thought I was going to DIE, you heartless DJ you.

Yes, I was watching to ensure that she didn't need me to bring her water, dumbass!

Also, I was keeping an eye on one of the drunks on the dancefloor who kept veering a little close to her.

Didn't I tell you those Insolias were the best thing evah!! I love love love them!

One of my friends got to see Wicked in NYC and she said it was amazing! ^_^ *lol* Glad to see that someone else has reason to tell people that they do not want to dance, no matter what people do.

One wonders if Insolias can be worn with the dreaded orthotics? They would be mighty helpful for dancing in my boots...

If I would have known people dressed for this show..my pointy hat wouldn't have been left behind! Love my Wicked umbrella.

I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one with tears in my eyes. I saw it last year and all the stripey and pointy-toed wichey shoes in technicolor instantly reminded me of you. The costumes, the cast... yep my new favorite!

I have up to 5" heels and my feet die a slow and painfull death on a daily basis. I shall have to test these inserts! And they're not even expensive ^^

From: [identity profile] staxxy.livejournal.com

I must get these insoles if they are so fabulous!! did you order them online or get them locally?

From: [identity profile] angldst.livejournal.com

I've bookmarked that Insolia site for payday. Planning on a 3pack, for I've got some highheels that don't yet have ball-of-foot cushions in em, so I can give these a try. :)
