Lipstick:

Remember a little bit ago when I was wittering about a lipstick color I had seen in the August UK Vogue? Thanks to the wonders of the internet, I was able to buy a tube.

Repeat after me, Snarklings: lipstick colors in Real Life are Not The Same as the colors pictured in the magazines. Ever.

Lancome's Violet Shocking lipstick is ... a nice-enough berry-red color, and I'm sure that people who aren't Goths would think it very shocking indeed. But it errs on the cautious side of subtle, and is nowhere near saturated enough of a color for me. Bah.

Mascara: Chanel's Inimitable lives up to the hype. It's better than DiorShow, and believe me, that's saying something. Now, remember, I am a girl who likes to wear MASCARA, so if you're a fan of the natural look, this is not a product for you. But if you want exaggerated blackblack eyelashes, Inimitable is great.

Hair: The next time I trim my bangs (er, my fringe to the UK folks), do I want to give myself pointy ones again? Would doing that help cure some of my restless (and misguided and wrong, I know) urges to cut my hair? I don't know.

Will you email me via savannah444 at hotmail, at your convenience? I was unable to find your email address. Thank you...

No, you do not want pointy ones. They would not cure the restless urge.

Time for extensions, I think.

Why don't I want pointy? Whyyyyyy?

(Besides the upkeep, I mean.)

Yeah, time for extensions.

I'd suggest pointy with the tips dyed your favorite unnatural color. Get some of the fun color, urge to do something different, without excessive damage to your long, lovely locks. Alternatively, extensions could do the trick.

Thanks for the tip about the new mascara. I've seen ads and was curious.

Mostly the upkeep, but I swear you saying you thought you looked better with a flat across fringe.

Hey I see you waiting for the bus on 156th almost everyday now. You're always looking the other way though and I think it'd be rude to toot my tiny horn to catch your attention. Anyway, if you see someone going south on a bright red motorcycle with a white helmet on, that be me!

(And good heavens, you've lost a lot of weight and looked so petite. At first I thought it was someone else that was trying to imitate your look until I saw your face.)

I can totally empathise with the lippie nightmare...oh, why is finding a decent red such a chore!

Gah! Do not cut off the hair!!!!

I know it is seems silly for me to say don't cut your hair when I cut mine all the time.
But you would HATE yours short and it would be forever to get it long again.
You would not be able to wear hair toys and what hair you ahd would disappear beneath your hats...
No no no, don't do it.
Color it, use extensions, anything to stop this idea.

Silly Jill do no tcut your hair. *hug*

Re: Gah! Do not cut off the hair!!!!

Oh, I'm not going to cut it, don't worry. I entertain notions about it, and then people I love and trust look at me like I'm crazy and say "Nooooo!". :)

I need to get my professionally pointy. I cant get it right on my own.

I keep wanting to color my hair with fun colors, but work in finance.. *sigh*
