I finally broke down and made an order again. Only two bottles, but if The Candy Butcher (from the Carnaval Diabolique limited edition series) really IS dark chocolate with a heavy cream undertone, I suspect I'm going to be buying many, many bottles of it. How many? I don't know, but considering (a) my obsession with chocolate perfumes, and (b) that Carnaval Diabolique runs until September 2007, "many" is a vague placeholder to ensure that [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage's head doesn't explode.

(Now if they'd only bring back Pink Moon!)

The other scent I ordered is from the Order of the Dragon LE series. No, none of the scents in that series *actually* sound like they'd be something I'd wear, or would work with my body chemistry. But but but, a Brides of Dracula scent! I have to have it. (Yes, my clichéd fondness for Dracula really is that strong. Don't pretend you're surprised by this.)

(Scent description: "Unquenchable desire, seething lust, malevolent sexuality, and voracious hunger lurking beneath a shimmering veil of unearthly beauty: gleaming skin musk, honey and white amber, plum blossom, osmanthus, sandalwood, calla lily, and a light, sensual blend of Eastern spices." Who knows, it might smell delightful on me. I don't really care. Brides of Dracula! Wheeeee!)

Mmm...Those make me really hungry, for some reason. Since I've come to the realization that my natural scent is very heavy on musk and cinammon, so (strangely) that Brides of Dracula sounds lovely and something I'd wear. ^_^;; Mmm...Now I'm gonna have to narrow my list of imps down, so that I can actually order, instead of dreaming.

I'm with you. I don't know what half the ingredients of Brides smell like, but I ordered it anyway. You know me--I'm all about the malevolent sexuality. Tell you what--if my order of Candy Butcher comes in before yours, do you want to sniff it, or would you rather be surprised?

OOooh, I would like to sniff it, please! Because the sooner I know if I'm going to be spending oodles of money on it, the better.

I can't remember - did you order Count Dracula? I might give in and order a bottle of it (and Carfax Abbey) because ... well, just because.

I didn't order Count Dracula. Out of the new series, I got Brides, The Castle, and Carpathian Mountains. I am dying to see what else you get out of the Halloween update! I got Sugar Skull and will waft it your way when it arrives. I hope Samhain 2006 is as good as it's been in the past (so I hear).

but but but, I managed not to go to their site for ages. Now, you tempt me! Nothing smells as good as BPAL. :>

How did you know they've been on my mind for the last month. *pun-consciously-impish*

I'm not the biggest Dracula fan, but I was surprised how many of the blends sounded good to me - I think I ordered six? Not sure, as I ordered in the haze of "omg I've been working for how many(?) days straight, must buy something fluffy." Brides of Dracula is definitely the one I'm looking forward to most, though.

Still need to get decants of the Carnaval scents. I've forbidden myself from ordering whole bottles until I've actually smelled them and know if I'll wear them. This type of restraint/common sense is very new to me. :o)

I am enthralled by the words of GENNIVRE, L'ARTISTE du DIABLE and THEODOSIUS, THE LEGERDEMAIN. How much should I swoon for their shiny words?

This is what I need to read about the morning after I get home from Burning Man! :) I thought I'd broken my BPAL habit, but Candy Butcher? Hrmmmm. Maybe.
