Yesterday I went thrifting with the ever-fabulous company of [livejournal.com profile] kijjohnson and [livejournal.com profile] weaselmom. Remember back in April, when I posted about finding a sibling to one of my oldest toy bears? (clicky link to the post, in case you don't remember or want to re-read it) Guess who I found yesterday at that same thrift store? Yes indeed, a third member of that particular Gund species. So now I have Murphy, Dearby, and Thirby, and I'll try to take pictures of them tomorrow.

I'm starting to suspect that those bears are only popping into existence about 30 seconds before I go to the toy aisle at that thrift store. I'm not going to complain.

The request, which first needs a bit of explanation: a few years ago (probably around 1997 or 1998), [livejournal.com profile] larissa1206 gave me a toy bunny for my birthday. A pink toy bunny, with floppity ears and a very solemn expression. That bunny turned out to be Prudence, who is [livejournal.com profile] clovisdvlbunny's #1 minion and sidekick.

Now, I knew that Prudence came from the Disney store, and was a merchandising tie-in for the remake of The Parent Trap. That's all I knew. Today I decided to search the interwebs with that info. It turns out that if I want to find Prudence's siblings, I need to include terms like "Disney", "Parent Trap", "bunny", and "Cuppy". Sadly, the easiest thing to find using those terms is a 6" beanie baby version (clicky link!), while what I really want is the 10" non- beanie baby version. (no clicky link, because if I had found one, I wouldn't be asking for help!)

So! I turn to you, oh people I know on the interwebs! If anyone happens to find the correct version of this bunny, PLEASE let me know. (Yes, I've posted to eBay's "Want It Now" service.) I'd really like to find one. Prudence has mentioned a few times that she'd like a sibling, and finding one would make me a very happy goth indeed.

I'm looking. I found one that sold last week on e-bay for $102.50, from http://stores.ebay.com/100-aker-woods.

I'm still looking.

I wrote the seller. She only had 2 and they're both gone. I also e-mailed a woman on cleveland's craigslist that was selling Disney toys, but she didn't have it either. So, I got "smart" and searched most of the craigslists until my eyes crossed and no luck.

Great googly moogly, woman! Searched most of the craigslists?! Thank you, but don't, y'know, drive yourself crazy. :)

I will have to see if I can find a picture of one so I can use it for reference in spotting at rummage/yard/garage sales and flea markets.

:)
