Wretched, wretched insomnia.

You would think that taking a muscle relaxer (I did something unfortunate to my back this weekend) at midnight would mean I would certainly be asleep an hour and a half later. But no. Wide awake, and not at all happy about it.

Very much not amused.

Of course, I don't want to be awake either. And given all of the "trying to let Cass breathe" drugs I am taking? I am shocked that I am. Because I am certainly doing the floaty head bit.

Herbal tea? Read something you already know? Pet a kitty?

I hope you get some sleep soon, filled with nice dreams.

I either do not sleep at night or I get up so early!

Jilli!
I can't help. I am going through it myself.
I reccomend getting some anit-depressants like Clonozapm that make you sleep at night. They seem to have fewer side effects than other sleeping pills.
I have tried them all.
I never get to sleep before Eric. I am now using headphones to listen to a book on tape to sooth me to sleep. My brain just can't shut outhte pain.
I have been getting up at 4 am and not sleeping again. Argh: I keep trying not to wake Eric.

Muscle relaxers don't work, unless tense muscles are the thing that's keeping you from falling asleep. You need a brain relaxer.

I'm on an antidepressant now where drowsiness is the primary side effect, so I take it just before bed. The chronic insomnia is much better. Part of me thinks I'm less depressed simply because I'm getting more sleep, but hey, whatever works, right?

Good luck with getting a good night's sleep tonight!

Clonazepam is quite the lovely anti-anxiety med though it does have some wicked dependancy issues that also can often come along for the ride. I sort of miss my access to it.

You should see someone about your sleeping disorder. It's the quickest way to go insane otherwise.

Darnit all! That's not fair. Could it have something to do with work stress, perhaps?

I think it's going around, this insomnia. Bleh.
