Stress

I am really, really stressed out, for a variety of reasons. Stressed as in my hands are ever-so-faintly shaking and starting to come up in small hives. (Before anyone freaks out, hives from stress are, sadly, a not-unheard of thing for me.)

It's too warm for me to go for a walk outside. I suppose I could just take a walk around the floors of my building, and see if that makes me any less stressed. Or I could stay here at my desk and keep editing and see if getting more work done will lower my stress level.

I cannot WAIT for this current batch of deadline emergencies to be over and done with.



(EDITED TO ADD: oh the heck with it. I'm going for a slow-ish walk outside, and will just try to deal with the heat. After all, I *did* bring a parasol to work with me ...)

Yes, for goodness' sake, get up from the desk and look at something else for a bit. I keep forgetting to do that, and then I realize that I've been sitting here for six hours without so much as a bathroom break. I started drinking more water at work just to force me out of the chair. :P It makes a difference.

Lately I've been using a cream that is supposed to fade down freckles. Interestingly enough, I think it's actually working. :) However, with this comes a need to shield my newfound delicate complexion from the great ball of light in the sky.

Thusly...I am not considering hunting for parasols, or at the very least, a Chinese umbrella....but I'm preferring the idea of the parasol if for no other reason than parasols are pretty :)

Good luck with it passing. I'm a perfectionist, with many OCD tendencies, so I'm prone to getting overly stressed. It's not a full day if I don't have at least one meltdown. Hope it all went well, and that the deadlines get met.

I'm trying to think of anything de-stressifying i can offer.... I'm at the point with my most significant stress where mostly all i can do is to try to ignore it until it goes away (*mumble mumble* out of my hands...crap *mumble*), so coming up with ways to deal with someone else's stress would be a welcome distraction.
