A quick post while eating lunch

A conversation from this morning, between myself and stroppy_baggage:

"I thought you only wore those shoes for best."

"Yes. And times when I need emotional support."

"I've never heard of shoes giving emotional support."

"Of course not. You're a boy."


(To stave off the inevitable question: I am wearing my custom-made shoes that are decorated with bats. They make me happy every time I look at my feet, thereby providing emotional support. Plus, comfy!)

Boys really don't get it. Those sound like fabulous support shoes!

(Me, I wear my big, stompy motorcycle boots when I need to do something I'm scared to do, like speak in front of 1000 people, or my red satin mary janes that are as close to ruby slippers as I have right now.)

mine gets it too. But mine is the one who, while shopping at a thrift store and noticing I had picked up a pair of black velvet pumps, said "you should get those, you don't have any like them and they would go with so much of your clothing."

Yup, he's a girl in boy skin.

There are guys who do understand. I am one... I have certain things I wear that provide comfort... Most often they are shredded and years old and my wife gives me nothing but grief about it.

I used to have a old Dallas Cowboys football jersy I wore for YEARS until it finally died.

I wear the princess seamed black dress from Alexia with the under skirt from you and the boots from Jessica when I need emotional support. :) Right there with you.

And, I wear the garnet ring I bought from you every day, it sits next to the one I got form Christi. They are both garnet and marquisite.

when things are *really* bad I wear the peach silk and angora sweater with the sequined flowers on it that Jessica got for me.
