(no subject)

 Thank you everyone who commented on my previous post about feeling down about my lack of writing, etc. I know I'm still tired and burnt out, but I am going to try to work on a small writing project next year. Slowly, I swear.

I kicked off a bit of a storm over on FB & Twitter: Rogue + Wolf, an alternative clothing & other goods company, has started using AI "models" in their ads, and I called them out. This is a huge disappointment to a lot of folks, because R+W commented on the R+W FB page, and uniformly received answers along the line of "photoshoots with real models are expensive" (but they used to do them) and "There are lots of different opinions about the ethics of AI, but we think people will understand how great it is". Needless to say, a whole lot of folks are mad at them, and my original post has spread far and wide. I've also gotten comments, uniformly from dudes, about how I'm being a Karen, how I'm trying to crush a small business, how I'm a "type b personality disorder envious narcissistic abuser predator", and I'm a racist misogynist because I also called out that the company used AI to create yet another thin, young, white girl. I am DELIGHTED by these comments, and find them hilarious.
