DAD IS HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL!!!
His medical team decided not to go with the port and home injections of antibiotics. He's got a prescription for oral ones, and he goes in for tests next week to check the infections and his hematocrit. They're confident they know where the blood in his stools is coming from, and he has an appointment with a GI surgeon to talk about options (probably minor surgery).
He's home! All of us are relieved.
