I (finally!) sold a pair of Fluevog boots that I can no longer wear, so I had the spending money to pick up something I'd been eyeing for ages: a "Victorian lady" dress from a seller on Amazon. The reviews are almost entirely positive, AND the seller offers free custom sizing. I'll report back on how it works out.

I experienced my first ever horrible task as a manager: I had to let one of our contractors go. This is something I never wanted to experience, and ESPECIALLY not the week before a holiday. But the team they were working with were unanimously unhappy with their performance and asked me to do the difficult thing. It's especially upsetting and frustrating on my part because this person was great in their interview and I had high hopes for them. I never ever wanted to be that manager, but I was backed into a corner on it.
