(no subject)

 Have I screeched about the Interview with the Vampire season finale over here, yet? I don't think I have.

Some things before I put things under a "read more" to avoid spoiling folks:

• I love this adaptation. LOVE. I have a few tiny quibbles, but on the whole the show is FANTASTIC.
• As a Vampire Chronicles obsessive fan, the hidden nods to the entire universe make me giddy. 
• The Stroppy One can tell whenever they use a line from the book, because I unconsciously throw my hands in the air in glee.
• In short, I need season 2 RIGHT NOW.

- People who are going "oh noes Lestat would never be an abusive partner!" are so damn wrong. It's totally in character for the Lestat of the show, and really not much of a stretch for book!Lestat.

- Claudia is still my precious feral murderbaby. Her dipping her pen in Lestat's blood as he lay dying so she could write his last words in her diary? Perfection.

- FUCK YES RASHID IS ARMAND I KNEW IT! After the "And he's the love of my life" line from Louis, the Stroppy One asked me if that was canon. Aaaaannnd the answer is kinda-sorta? Louis and Armand are an off-and-on again couple throughout the books. Do either of them consider each other the loves of their lives? Eh, probably not, especially since part of Armand's motivation in the relationship is to piss off Lestat as much as possible. But oh! How I love this show twist.
