Last night was the Bauhaus concert. And oh! It was glorious. Peter Murphy was (as always) a perfect and theatrical front man, and Daniel Ash doesn't seem to have changed AT ALL. Undead indeed.

They played the five songs I was hoping for: She's In Parties, The Passion of Lovers, Stigmata Martyr, and of course the Big Two! Bela Lugosi's Dead and Ziggy Stardust (the final song of the show). Peter Murphy encouraged the crowd to sing the final two rounds of "undead undead undead", which means it was a Peak Eldergoth Experience.

The annoying part of the evening: I bought ADA -compliant seats, because I knew the regular seating at the Paramount was not going to work for me. ADA seats are at the very outer edge on both sides of the first 10 rows on the main floor, which is good in theory until everyone else in the crowd surges to their feet, and then the folks who need to remain seated have a very difficult time seeing the stage.

Also the seats themselves have a very narrow space to get into/out of, and are on an uneven flooring. I slid and nearly toppled into the seats in front of me. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to express my concerns to the Paramount. Probably not.

But BAUHAUS! :: swoons ::
