(no subject)

 Thanks to minim_calibre's thread on perfume, I learned about January Scent Project. Applaud my restraint, because I ordered samples instead of just blind-buying a bottle of perfume with a description that called to me. But read this description! 

Smolderose - Smoke and rose perfume. Contains notes of Damask rose, bergamot, saffron, roasted seashells, frankincense, elder flower, patchouli, cade, agarwood, and labdanum.

My sample pack arrived yesterday. Smolderose is everything I wanted. Or as I said on Twitter last night: "When a vampire, in a fit of overwrought romantic melancholy, fills the fireplace with the letters and roses from a former love, lights a match, then spends all night staring into the flames while drinking wine-laced blood from a silver goblet".

I love everything about this perfume. Yes, I will eventually be buying a 30ml bottle.
