- I had a telehealth appointment with my doc yesterday. They don't think what's going on with me is COVID, but I have won the exciting prizes of a chest X-ray to make sure nothing weird is going on with my lungs, and a full range of blood tests to check my b-12, thyroid, Lyme and babesiosis markers, possible anemia, etc. (I said that if it's anemia, I demand to become a vampire RIGHT NOW to fix it. Dr. Bobbi laughed, because they are used to me.)
- The first week back at work is historically a bit slow as everyone gets back into the swing of things, thank goodness. But mine has an extra twist, as I am reviewing resumes. Yes, that's right, we got budget to hire another writer for my team, and I am, um, the hiring lead (!!!)
- In preparation for being a lead, I am taking SO MANY notes and making SO MANY plans in my magnetic paper bullet notebook, and all of those pages are being marked with my fandom-made Hannibal washi tape, in the hopes that some of the fancy cannibal's time management skills will be magically bestowed upon me.
- Right before the holidays I used a bit of my upcoming raise and splurged on a wardrobe item that yes, I could probably have made myself, but I'm too lazy to do so. Plus, by the time I'd bought the fabric and put the time in, it would have cost as much or more as having the indie artist make it. So behold! My fancy silk velvet + dupioni hood!
