- I STILL haven't found the time to write up responses to a thinky list of questions that I first saw over on
solstice_lilac's DW, but what I want to write has been rattling around my head.
- Work is work. Hoo-boy, work is work. But I am willing to give a pass to a bunch of stuff because a) my entire team is on crazy deadlines (and kinda has been for ages), b) it's not just me doing documentation anymore! I have support!, and c) still working from home. Which is the best thing ever.
- The rapid changes in weather have meant my assorted chronic pain issues are trying to fill my muscles and joints with hot lead, but! I can tell the difference that the kinda-sorta ketogenic eating has made with that; in other words, I'm very aware of how much more pain I'd be in if I wasn't eating this way.
- In addition to helping with the pain levels, I'm still steadily losing weight by eating like this. Out of curiosity, I just tried on my original version of the velvet skirted long vest that I bought from ChicStar back in ... 2012? It fits. I need to try it on again tomorrow in better light and in front of a better mirror, to make sure that there isn't any weird straining of fabric, but it didn't feel like there was.
(I am STILL mad that ChicStar stopped producing this vest. It's the long velvet vest that I own multiples of, with different buttons, that is a staple of my wardrobe. Princess seams! Double-layered skirt portion! POCKETS! If the smaller size fits me again, I will carefully pack away the larger versions, Just In Case.)
