Stuff. And things.

• Have I mentioned recently how much I LOATHE writing work-type reviews? Especially ones where you need to use all the current and hip HR buzzwords? Yes, I know, there are probably very few people who like writing work reviews, but still. And to add insult to injury, there are a flock of new, Must Be Used, "self-evaluation" tools to help me review and reflect on how my skills mesh with the company's core competencies. Ugh.



• My office-mate, who is both awesome and evil, gave me a box of Thin Mint cookies. I have not yet succumbed to their lure, but writing about core compentencies and my Passion For Quality might drive me to it.



• Remember that b&w striped skirt I attempted to overdye pink, and how Jacquard dye failed me? Three bottles of "rose pink" RIT dye later, the skirt is now a lovely shade of cupcake pink, with black stripes. That'll teach me to turn my pale little nose up at RIT, won't it?



• I now have a serger! My mentor at work had one that she used twice, and doesn't want anymore. Mind you, she hasn't found the manual for it yet, and Googling "Janome MyLock 204d" doesn't turn up any instructions for use, but hey! I now have a serger!



• I really do want to go look at the Barbie pink eyeshadow from MAC (see previous post), because it looks like it is a darker pink than all the other pink eyeshadows I have. (My collection of pink eyeshadow goes from barely pink, to various permutations of cotton candy or cupcake pink, straight on to SHOCKING NEON pink. So obviously I need a color between cotton candy/cupcake and NEON, right? Of course I do! Why are you looking at me like I'm a crazy person?)
