[livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage has been going through the boxes in the basement. He's been finding (in addition to a buncha stuff to be tossed) all sorts of nifty things that I forgot we had, and each night I get to sort through stacks of lost treasures.

One of the things he found yesterday was an issue of the long-gone and lamented magazine Carpe Noctem. The issue that contains, among other things, my interview of Jill Thompson. (hee!)

This prompted me to dig out my other issues of Carpe Noctem. (Look for a post filled with nostalgia for the 90s goth scene coming here soon. Oh yes, nostalgia and blithering, very soon. You Have Been Warned.) I discovered that I *don't* have all the issues of Carpe Noctem, which is maddening.

So, I'm going to wait until [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage is finished going through the boxes, and then I suspect I'm going to be scouring eBay for back issues. Unless one of you urchins have a C.N. collection laying around that you don't want anymore ...? Nah, didn't think so.

  • Books, books, books, including a signed copy of Cabal by Clive Barker.

  • Photos. Some of which will be eventually scanned and shared with you lot.

  • Assorted Sanrio goodies.

  • Various odd little monster toys.

  • Old journals, all of which are going to be burnt. Oh yes, they will be burnt.

  • Gothy ephemera such as stickers, magazines, and pictures, which I am probably going to stick in some sort of scrapbook.

  • A skull of some sort. Could be a horse, could be a cow.

    • ...

      ...

When the heck did we get the skull of a large quadruped? WHY did we get a skull of a large quadruped?

Would any of you Seattle-based folk want a large skull? (It might be a reproduction, but I don't think so.) If so, speak up and we'll figure out a way to get it to you. (Sorry, non-Seattle peeps. I don't want to contemplate packaging this thing for mailing anywhere.)

[livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage is a good, good man for doing this. Because heaven knows *I* wasn't in any rush to rummage through dusty, possibly-spider-hiding boxes. Thank you, sweetie!
