Stolen from e_juliana. Shooooooooz!
1. What size shoe do you wear?
8.5 - 9, depending on how pointy they are.
2. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Honestly, I have no idea. I have a 3-drawer shoe armiore that is filled, plus lots of other shoes & boots that are lying around on the floor of the bedroom. And some shoes & boots tucked away in the drawers of the clothing armiores. At a conservative estimate, around 50. (Yes, I'm planning on weeding through the collection some time in the near future. Honest.)
3. What type of shoe do you prefer (boots, sneakers, pumps, etc.)?
Pointypointypointy toe pumps with no more than a 2" heel. Do they look like shoes a stereotypical fairy tale witch would wear? Then I probably want them. I also adore pointy-toe Victorian-style granny boots, but again they must have very little heels. I have never learned to walk properly in high heels.
4. Describe your favorite pair of shoes. Why are they your favorite?
Pointy-toe "swordfish" Fluevog pumps in black. They have a little wooden block in the toes to exaggerate the points. The heels are a modified Louis heels, and they lace up the front. The other pair of (current) favorites is a pair of super-pointy black Fluevog flats, with a big buckle across the top. I found them at a yard sale for $1. Sure, I spent $60 having them fixed up, but now they look brand new AND that's still less than they sold for in the 80s. I know because I coveted those exact shoes in 1987.
5. What's the most you've spent on one pair of shoes?
Hmmm. Over $100 for a pair of calf-high batcave-y boots that had 9 buckles (Oh! how I miss them). Over $100 for a pair of extremely cute burgundy suede Victorian boots. Other than that, most of my shoes are thrift & resale store finds.
