Today's errands include going to the post office to pick up a registered letter from the company my last employment contract was through.

I'm sure that it's nothing to worry about, that it will be some banal, run-of-the-mill HR stuff.

But it still makes me slightly twitchy. Registered letters from employers always do.

The registered letter was to let me know that my health coverage has ended (yes, I knew that) and that I can elect to take part in the verrrrry expensive COBRA health insurance. Why did this need to be sent via registered mail? I have no idea.
