Had a busy couple of evenings. On Thursday I skipped going out dancing to hang out with one of the other ElderGothGirls and imflying. imflying, being the wonder that she is, trimmed my bangs into the pointiest batwing shape yet, and convinced me to get the rest of my hair cut. My hair is now the shortest it's been in a decade (just above bra-strap length), but has no more damaged ends. She kept reassuring me that my hair was still long, I kept tugging at the ends and going "but but but". I like it, but it's taking a bit of getting used to.

Last night, # 1 Minion, her roommate, and I attended a performance of Lost Souls (the play, based off the novel by Poppy Z. Brite). It was very, very good. The novel is one of my all-time favorites (because I'm so goddamn Goth handstapleforehead), so I was a little apprehensive about how it would translate to the stage. But! The play was very good and stayed pretty faithful to the book. If I didn't have to work tonight, I'd want to go see it again.

The theatre it took place in was up a couple flights of stairs, with rough wooden banisters. # 1 Minion unfortunately ended up with a handful of splinters. I was able to get a couple of them out before the play (with one of my pointysharp accessories; see, giant sparkly pins are useful), but she had to wait until we got back to my place for more extensive first aid. She was a very brave minion, and held very still the whole time I was using a variety of sharp implements to dig the 9 other splinters out of her hand.

Today — nothing special. Unless you count 10+ hours of being at the office special. I don't especially, except for the fact that it's all paid at time-and-a-half baybeeee! I sense a new corset or pointypointy boots in my future.
