But I have a vague glow of accomplishment, so that's okay. In the past week I've exercised almost every day, updated my website, wrote a column, cut out and mostly finished sewing a black cotton gauze over-dress, made a white muslin with black lace trim chemise, added black lace trim to an enormous white skirt, made a pink with black lace trim skirt and chemise, made brownies, did laundry and dishes, and talked to a friend about some writing I'm going to be doing for a project of his.
(looks back at list)
Gracious. Now if I can only stick to the exercising almost every day AND updating the website every week, all will be good.
Tonight I went and had dinner with a friend I don't get to see much of. Conversation was kind of stilted; I think in part because they were trying to not complain about romantic woes. I have some theories as to other reasons for the wierd vibe, but I'll keep my semi-snarky thoughts to myself.
Before dinner I hung out and talked to another friend, about that writing-for-a-project I mentioned above. More writing goooood, as I probably need to write something besides the monthly column.
I bought copies of the new issue of Skin Two (oooooh, shiny shiny clothes) and Gothic Beauty. GB is kinda silly, but is chock full of ads for websites carrying pretty pretty clothes. That most likely won't fit me, and I probably can't afford, but oh well.
I spent the rest of the evening over at Queen of the Monkeys & MonkeyBoy's apt. Well, QotM and I traipsed off to go get cool refreshing beverages and sugary treats, leaving MonkeyBoy to wallow amongst the chaos of the semi-packed to move to Kansas (Kansas?!?) while watching Dogma. Eventually The Husband came and got me, after finishing his gaming night.
It was nice to spend time just lounging around w/ QotM, nattering about whatever crossed our minds and playing with DevilKitten. I am soooooo going to miss them when they move to that big flat state.
Tomorrow will most likely bring more sewing (another pink chemise, finishing the overdress), and making an appointment to get my hair dyed and bangs trimmed. Now if I could only figure out a way to do all this sort of stuff and still earn money ... grin
Oh, and as an aside - good luck Staxx! I've got my fingers crossed for you!
