this is why I tend not to keep a paper journal, either. Too. Damn. Busy.

Anyways, this week on Tiny Toon Adventures: Wheel! Of! Management! Oh yay, a re-org. My "acting" lead is a co-worker of mine. He gets to be the acting lead since he has a bit more experience at this job than me. That's fine, 'cos he isn't planning on attempting to manage me. It's just this "we're moving to a different building and some of you may have to share offices" thing that I'm not too thrilled about.

Ramble, ramble, ramble. Hmmm...

My fashion interests are starting to veer back to 1996-ish. It's all Mana (from Malice Mizer)'s fault. I used to wear knee-length frothy petticoats, and then switched to ankle-length full skirts with hoops. But after obsessing over the Gothic Lolita Bible (vols. 1 & 2), out come the knee-length skirts and frothy petticoats. Of course, this time around I'm wearing them with severe white dress shirts and Victorian-esque jackets instead of little stretch-velvet dresses, but still. (Of course, I still have this lingering fear that even with the severe shirt/jacket combo, this look isn't as cute as I think, and that I'm the goth version of a woman in her 30s trying to dress like a teenager. The Husband reassures me this isn't true, so I'm trying to trust his judgement.)

This means, of course, that I keep finding clothes on-line that I want to buy. I'm trying to emulate my darling Shechem's line of thought by silently repeating over and over "I don't need it. I don't need it". Unfortunately, the magpie instinct pops out screaming "Cute! Cute! Want want want! Ooooh, pretty! Want want want!" So I'm making a deal with myself: If I cull the various closets & wardrobes for things I haven't worn in the past 12-18 months and SELL those items, I will allow myself to buy more "Elegant Gothic Lolita" stuff. But I have to get rid of things first.

We'll see if this works. Who knows?
