Strange things at work

The pretty man-made pools, streams, and waterfalls at our part of the corporate campus have been colored vivid neon green today, apparently to celebrate the launch of the Big Videogame Console. Of course, in my mind, they're big pools of ectoplasm, and ghosts are going to materialize any second now. The urge to go up to random people in the office park and say "It's a sign! It's a sign! We must hold a seance now! Join hands!" is nigh-overwhelming, let me tell you.

(Edit: thanks to one of my wacky designer co-workers, I not only have two Polaroid pix, but he sent me a bunch of files!)

It's unlikely that'll happen. They didn't sell the original XBox through the store. The hardware is sold at a loss even at retail (they make their money back on software) so they didn't offer reductions to Microsoft staff. If they didn't do it for the last unit, it is highly unlikely they will for this one.

MS Games FTEs are getting a free box (perhaps some other FTE units as well, but I'm not sure about that). I agree that they'll probably not offer the console through the Company Store, but they probably will offer peripherals (as they do with the current console).

options > send > email address > type in address > send
and it will go to the email box of your choice.

I send it to the email address set up at my flickr account, which posts it to LJ if I tell it to.

If you don't have email included in your plan, sending the picture will cost 25 cents, I believe.
