- Things are slowly getting better. Slowly.
- I have the best husband in the universe. Yeah, I've said it before, but it really does need repeating after the past week.
- L'Oreal Voluminous mascara is not quite as good as DiorShow mascara, but comes in a water-proof/tear-proof formula, which is the most important thing about mascara for me right now.
- I just discovered that the song "Me and My Arrow" (from The Point! by Harry Nilsson, which is a cornerstone of my childhood, so you can just stop giving me funny looks) now reminds me of Dread Beastie. Which isn't terribly surprising, considering my very first cat was named Arrow, and as soon as I finally purchased The Point! from the iTunes store, I sang that song at Beastie. Repeatedly. But, I didn't start crying, so I'll count that as a small victory.
- It is freezing in my office area. Losing-feeling-in-my-fingers freezing. Thank goodness I only have about 8 more days left on this contract.
- Speaking of my office environment, one of the wacky things that was implemented when we moved into the accursed open space layout is that every day, at 3PM, the Song of the Day is played at near-deafening volume. There's some sort of alias one is supposed to send requests for the Song of the Day to, but no one has bothered to tell the contractors what that alias is. Which is a pity, because for my last day here, I am SO tempted to make them play "When You're Evil" or "This Corrosion". Why? Because I could, dammit. Plus, it would be revenge for the beep-beep rave-y nonsense or 'aren't we hip and ironic' 80s power ballads that HAVE been played.
... I'm sure I had other stuff I felt like burbling about, but since the only thing in my head is whatever song is next on The Point! ("Point of View Waltz", in case you were curious, and I can never listen to it without my brain also hearing my dad singing along with it, which is nice), I'll stop babbling now.

I resemble that remark. :D
Must not post about smoking ban. Must not post about smoking ban.

And yeah, right there with you about not posting about the smoking ban. I don't feel like opening that particular can o' worms.

Of the people on our friends lists who did, I'd be surprised if any of them thought it was a good idea in retrospect. A few people have really gone non-linear over this.

I wanted non-smoking places to go dance in, and now I know where they are!

I've had trouble with other water-resistant mascaras going all smeary from even non-weapy moist eyes and my habit of touching my face too much, but this one's been great for me. Also, the brush it comes with is superior.

Booze, Bowling, and prawns.
It amazes me how well she bowls in those skirts, especially since she just walks to the line and lobs the ball.
