Look, gang, while I get asking for validation and reassurance as much as the next person, I'm not going to keep replying to that Do you read me? If you read me on a regular/semi regular basis, leave me a comment and let me know. Then post this in your diary and find out who reads you thing that is spreading across my FL like blackberry brambles. Just assume I read your journal, 'kay? And if there is something specific that you want reassurance or hairpats or whatever for, THEN I will respond.

(Have I mentioned the irrationally cranky of late? Yeah.)

Silly, silly [livejournal.com profile] jonquil. Not only do I like you, but I devoutly wish that you were the tech writer I edited. My days would be so less stressful.

So you want to start a gothic scrapbook??? I do tons of scraping. Blatherbits said you might want to get together, and get some idea on it?

From: [identity profile] butterflake.livejournal.com

I didn't respond to any of those either, though I read everyone's entries on my friends list. I also didn't want to make a post like you did, either. I'm just going to keep everyone guessing.

Me too. I respond to too many "four-alarm fires" to roll out of bed for this meme. (Although I don't post much anyway).

Jilli is being more kind. :)

I read you.

Also, I think you are very very pretty.

I don't know if you're being all that irrational or cranky. It is a little, well, string-pully. I've seen more adverse reaction to this meme than I've seen of the actual meme.

Thank you!!! I posted something similar last night, and woke to find a new crop of friends asking the same thing.

I'm irrationally cranky too, what with the heat, a virus, and being at 'that certain age'.

I would love to pick your brain about EGA and Victorian Gothic fashion at some point over the next month. I'm attempting to pull together my look for CascadiaCon, and can't afford to spend a lot of money (or go to Japan to shop, not that it would fit me anyway).

OOoh! Hey, I'd been meaning to add you, so this works out. :)

From: [identity profile] keridwen.livejournal.com

I read the last bit of that as "something specific that you want reassurance or hatpins for."

My first thought was, "Yeah, Jilli's always there for us when we need sharp, pointy things."

From: [identity profile] poetry-lady.livejournal.com

I thought it was hatpins, too, as I know that you have and use them! I'd like a hatpin into the tires of the dipshit who threw a popcan into the river tonight--it could've caught a draft and smacked me (on the motorcycle).

I take it you don't need any reassurances or hairpats right now? Just crossed fingers?

From: [identity profile] mearagrrl.livejournal.com

heh. I saw them on my flist, and thought "I might respond if I were randomly reading your journal, but...you're on my flist. I read it. Just go with that"

From: [identity profile] staxxy.livejournal.com

I haven't seen the meme yet, I don't think. But I settled it once and for all anyway. ;)

In other news, I miss you and we should spend some hanging out time soon.

Hi John! This is PMB's hubby. I wave at you feebly from my art computer. Deadlines - who knew?™

P.S. Gilly really needs to turn up sometime in High-Victorian Goth attire.

P.P.S. I don't do subtle hints.

Grin.

I've already thought about sneaking " Y'know how I spent my evening? Making an elaborate choker out of vintage black lace, garnets set in silver, blood-red crystal beads & drops, and a pendant that is the Dracul family crest in silver, encased in glass, with a bit of soil from castle Dracula...while watching the Animaniacs" into the strip somewhere..."

(Modified just a tad, to suit a joke better...)

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

OMG! You should! That would be great! Let me use more exclamation points!!

(And the night I made the necklace, I *nearly* decided to watch the Powerpuff Girls movie instead of Phantom of the Opera, but silly bombast suited my mood better than just plain silly.)

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Naaaah. I was starting to see this meme creep in around the edges before you made the "Hey lurkers? Who the heck are you people?" post.

From: [identity profile] ladymoira.livejournal.com

You read my journal?!? Aw, man and here I was strutting around and proud to be a number and something to clutter your friends page with! ;P

BTW: Miss you!

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Oh right, you're a number. ;-p

I miss you too! I'm looking forward to whenever your next visit is.

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

I'm fairly new to LJ and since I get few comments, I do sort of wonder if anyone else I've friended is lurking. Not so much "does anybody like me?" as "is my LJ interesting enough to bother reading?"

Did not mean to be a pest.
