I'm having one of Those Sort of Days. Bah, I say.

I will just try and ignore what sort of day it is, and instead concentrate on the Peter Murphy concert tonight.

Monday's...

Me too! Got the book and lovely note and haven't had time to say thank you! :0 )

Re: Monday's...

Yay! I'm glad the book got there safely.

The bat ribbon, btw, works *perfectly* for what I had in mind. :)

Tell me what you're wearing to a Peter Murphy concert to distract yourself. Also, how will you do your hair?

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

I don't know what I'm going to wear to the concert, which is part of why this is a 'meh' day. I'm fighting off the Body Image Demons (who are all muttering you won't look good in anything, WalrusGirl, so why bother trying to dress up? I *know* they're lying, but I'm tired and cranky and having one of my 'I want all new clothes, dammit!' days.

I *think* I'm going to wear the club-going outfit that makes me happiest: giant, multi-tiered bat chiffon skirt, corset, and the bat-wing hem jacket with the keyhole neckline. I may pull my hair back and wear black dread falls.

ponders

Yes, I think that would be the best combo. It doesn't take oodles of effort, makes me feel pretty and Goth As Fuck, and should shut up the dratted Body Image Demons. I hope.

It's good to have a go-to ensemble which unfailingly makes you feel your gorgeous best. And if you can't go Goth as Fuck to a Peter Murphy show, then how many opportunities are there? Maybe you just need a new acessory or two. Perhaps a friend could help you primp. Maybe tonight you need to be the Gothiest Goth who ever strode the blighted earth in witch boots. What body image demon would dare to mess with you then in your full glorious armor?

Here's a few images to cheer you up from Series 2 of the 'movie accurate' line of Nightmare Before Christmas toys...

*sits next to you and sings you a lullaby*

Because of you I Amazoned "Six Gothic Tales." The book cost $0.01, the shipping is $3.49. I can't wait. :)

Giggle in the fact that there is another princess out there that just turned emerald that you are going to the ball and she is not!

Looking forward to seeing you tonight!

Also an option: if you wanted to meet up before the concert, that would be ok - but is The Pete coming to the show, too?

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Meeting up before the show won't work, as I'll *barely* have enough time to get home, eat something, and change before heading out. Plus, The Pete is not attending Mr. Murphy.

Some days it just makes for good sense

... I really admire those quirky animals with the option of burying their heads in the sand.

I think I just might cocoon myself away for two days now that my event is done.

AHEM.

You could always read.

And comment.

Especially on stuff sent yesterday.

Ahem.

I'm just sayin'.
