Tiiiiiired. Stupid stupid insomnia. I'd like to go to bed and fall asleep, not wait 2+ hours almost every night before nodding off. But nooooo, that's how it's been for the past few weeks. SO not amused by that.

However, I bring you burbling about clothes! Yes, time for another round of Shallow Fashion Details!

  • Pointy-toe black flats with little pink bows

  • Black stockings with narrow white stripes

  • Two knee-length petticoats (one pale pink, worn under a black one)

  • Black knee-length skirt w/ ruffled hem

  • Black princess-seamed jacket w/ a knee-length bat wing hem and high mandarin collar

  • Jet-beaded choker with a huge antique black-on-black cameo pendant (that rests in the opening of the jacket collar)

  • Hair pulled up in a bun under my top hat

  • The usual makeup, because I couldn't be bothered to try anything fancy

Pete was very happy about the petticoats. Apparently he's fondest of my fluffyfluffy skirts. Which is good, because I've been getting more of an urge to wear petticoats of all lengths. (Someday, someday soon, I will order this skirt from Fairygothmother. I also want this parasol, but can't bring myself to spend $190 on a parasol when I have a gazillion perfectly lovely ones at home.)

Now, to try and focus very intently on work today. Wish me luck at that, because oh dear, is my brain fuzzy ...

Fuzzy brain.

You and Kij coming out tonight?

That's a very pretty skirt and a very dangerous website. Good luck focusing today.

I know, I know. I could spend a couple thousand at that site without much effort. But I WILL buy that skirt soon. I've been wanting it for two years.

Re: What an astounding website!

So for you, an equally expensive website of gothy/deathrock boy clothing! Venom and Bootle (http://www.venomandbootle.com/index2.html), which has some *gorgeous* things.

Bwahahahahaaaa!

I have foiled Alexia's dastardly plans to put Jilli in tight skirts & sleeveless tops!

Bwahahahaaa!

Well, at least for today.

Do not taunt happy fun Tbat with websites full of pretty things that cost 87342943.00008 jillion dollars bec. they're in pounds!

You are not a nice fashiongoth. For shame, delivering such temptation. Is it not enough that I just spent $75 on Aromaleigh products?

(Then again, I could just tell you about the ankle-length black velvet coat--it's a coatdress, but I'll use it as a coat--with a high open collar and teardrop neckline and black satin French cuffs that I got at the Victoria Value Village for $10cdn.)

It IS a tempting site, isn't it? ::sighs::

$10cdn?! That's it, [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage and I are going to Victoria sometime soon, dammit.

(Oh, you were right, there is no Marks + Spencer in Vancouver. I'm trying to find out if there are any left in Canada at all.)

It had the same sort of schizophrenic pricing as the ones down here--I paid more for a plain black cotton knit dress (albeit fit-and-flare with princess seams) than I did for the velvet coat. But yeah, the selection was really quite impressive.
