- Adding darts to the bust of the corset did indeed help, and even gives extra support. Yes, I still should get a new custom-fitted corset for my current measurements and shape, but that's not in the budget right now.

- The fuchsia w/ black velvet accents Edwardian is beautiful. I just need to sew on the buttons, as the Madwoman doesn't do buttons unless they're the type she can use a sewing machine to attach. She hates hand sewing, and is baffled that I find it soothing. Whereas I'm baffled that sewing princess seams doesn't fill her with frustrated despair, so we're a good match.

- THE HAT! Modesty aside, I did an amazing job. I took one of the wide brimmed black sun hats I have (thank you Amazon) and sewed rows of lace that is layers of multi-length ruffles that have fishing line running through the hems to make the ruffles extra floofy (thank you AliExpress). Around the body of the crown and around the brim. Then I added a wide band of the fuchsia fabric, and have finished it with a HUGE fuck-off bow of the fuchsia fabric. It's easily a yard wide. Because nothing says Edwardian women's fashion like giant hats. I am very pleased.
