- We did a whole bunch of unpacking and organizing in the front room and made a lot of space! Most of the books are now on shelves and organized to my weird habits. (Doesn't everyone have a shelf for "people I know" books?) The Stroppy One took a bunch of boxes of cards, games, and other industry-related stuff down to the (finished! Not semi-finished, we love this!) basement, which also cleared a lot of the room.

(Having gotten a large part of the front room/library/parlor unpacked, the Stroppy One mournfully said, "Once this room is finished and you have your fainting couch, you won't be hanging out with me in the living room as often". Which, he's not wrong, because I've wanted my own library/parlor and fainting couch for many decades, but I get his preemptive melancholy.)

- My next unpacking project, after unpacking the rest of the books, is removing the very VERY old shelf liner/contact paper that lines the shelves of the china cabinet we got from Thea's mom. The contact paper is old enough that it sticks to everything so far used to peel it up, but yet doesn't peel up evenly. I sense the purchasing of a heat gun in my future.

- I have slept for over twelve hours two days in a row, and good lord, it was glorious. I want to do that more often. Alas, "real life" dictates otherwise.

- Having realized that gel & builder gel manicures end up thrashing my nails because no matter what removal method I try, they leave my nails in a worse-than-brittle state. (Some of that is also due to hypothyroid and low iron, but the gel certainly doesn't help matters.) So I am trying regular ol' nail polish again. I bought two colors and base and top coat from INLP because the reviews say they're quick drying and long lasting. I painted my nails about 20 minutes ago, and polish is now dry and dent free, so I'm reasonably hopeful.

- Monday is a household trip back to Fabrics for Less, because I was not joking about buying as many yards of that fuchsia fabric as I can manage.

He might not like to hear it from me, but the Stroppy One is adorable.

I also have a "people I know" shelf for books (and a folder for digital versions, as well as same for music of course).

I have been experimenting with a collagen (for hair and nails!) patch and I am not sure of my results yet. I am also doing iron patches, and several others. My multivitamin patch has a lot of D in it, but since I take it at bad time and it is time released, so far it has gone well (fingers are crossed that it stays okay).

Try a hair dryer first if you haven't already. (There are a few other things I'd suggest before a heat gun, too.)

I agree, I've had good results on ancient stickers and contact paper with a hairdryer!

Wondering now, for shelves could a heating pad work? A plug-in one, laid flat over a larger area, would that loosen up the adhesive enough to peel up a bigger piece? Must try that sometime.

I've used INLP's nail varnishes before! They're absolutely great, both in pigmentation and in how they are for your nails. Good choice!

Gel polishes and manicures trash my nails, too.

I still have gifts for you.
