Both outfit options for Vampire Ball have been tried on, vetted by the Stroppy One and the Madwoman in the attic, and there was no body image meltdown!

Everyone agreed that while the fuchsia version is gorgeous, the black and silver glitter one is better for on stage. The fuchsia one is now the planned outfit to go see The Cure next week. Now I just have to do a few quick accessory tweaks, and do a "thank G-D this is a foundation piece and no one will see it" alteration to a corset. I have an overbust heavy mesh, steel boned corset from Orchard Corset that damn near fits like a custom one, except for the breast area (the "cups" essentially) gape. I can fix this with some clever folding and whip stitching, but again, I'm glad no one will actually see it.

Once I do that and the accessory tweaks, it's on to packing, then rinsing the color out of my hair. And finding out what time I need to be at the venue Saturday night for sound check.

Or you could tuck a few washclothes in the cups, it's rather Edwardian to do so.
