The thrilling update to the Vampire Ball outfit dilemma: I had the Stroppy One and the Madwoman in the Attic look at the outfit with me, and they both agreed that it could, in theory, be awesome, there is way too much work needed to be done for this year's VMB. So! It's on hold for next year.

The Madwoman pointed out that she could make a version of my classic princess-seamed batwing hemp jacket in about two days, I just need to decide what fabric. The Stroppy One said he could take us to Fabrics For Less in Renton tomorrow, if I could clear my meeting schedule for a few hours! So! We're going to see what fancy, appropriate fabrics are available at my favorite fabric import store. (I'm hoping for a really nice wine brocade or fuchsia silk.)

IF we don't find anything good, I have a backup fancy outfit I can pull together out of my closets. I did a fast test run last night, and everything fits and looks good, so I am less despairing.

I have so much fabric in my attic I can barely move around in there. I have so much fabric I don't even know what I have.

I still wanna go to Fabrics For Less!

Sorry your outfit won't be ready in time; you've put so much thought and so many hours into that, it must be really disappointing. But having two potential back-up plans makes it easier, for sure - good luck with the fabric hunt!

What a relief! And tentacles crossed for the fabric shopping trip.
