Ongoing wittering about Vampire Ball! I have decided the beaded blood spatter outfit is the one that will make me the happiest, so there is lots of hand sewing in my future. I'm about a third of the way done with the jacket, and I ordered a few ivory lace and/or tulle blouses from AliExpress; once I see which fits the best, I'll get to beading the blood down the front and on the cuffs. The only thing that I'll need the Madwoman in the Attic to make is a big ivory ruffled skirt*, and then I'll add droplets of blood down it.

The only thing I'm still dithering on is the decor for the ivory-with-black-crown wide brimmed hat: ivory, black, or red clouds of tulle veiling? 






*In the Before Times, I'd hit a bunch of thrift stores and find an elaborate wedding dress to chop up, but those are getting more and more difficult to find.

Aileen's Craft Glue, to speed up the attachment of sequins, as a thought. It's kinda crap for attaching rhinestones to fabric, there is other glue recommended for that.

But if you're doing nothing but beading, just ignore this comment :D

For the hat - black and Ivory (perhaps with ivory clouds or veil or both) in a way that mirrors the balance of black and ivory in the outfit, with some beads, sequins, or rhinestones (or all 3!) on the underbrim and a bit into the tulle clouds that continues the blood splatter as that much blood does tend to have a few drops that go up as well.

If the brim is ivory, black tulle, or vice versa I like the alternating colors thing. But that's just me.
