 - By late last week I realized that I had done something horrible to my neck, and spent Thursday and Friday in excruciating, grinding pain. (I broke out the hoarded stash of Really Good pain meds.) Thankfully my chiropractor had an opening on Saturday; 10 minutes and a bunch of clicks, pops, and cracks, the pain went away and I felt kinda lightheaded from the rush of it all. (Yes, I know chiropractors are a very divisive topic. I trust mine.)

- Because the chiro appointment meant we were in Seattle, we hung out with minim and family! The goddaughter will be 18 in just over a month, and I am unnerved by that notion. The passage of time freaks me out. A conversation with the goddaughter:

"Are you going to go to prom?"
"Yeah, me and a bunch of friends are going together".
"Do you want me to help you find a dress?"
"YEAH!"

As the kid is deep into 2000s scene kid fashion and she's always loved My Chemical Romance (we raised her right), I'm going to see if I can track down a dress similar to the one from the "Helena" video.

- The old house will be on the market soon! THANK G-D. Fingers crossed it sells quickly, and for a high amount.

Suppose it is time to Measure the Child. (Or, rather, leave the two of you in a room together with the tape and have her measure herself while you direct her.)

I had an amazing Poshmark offer on a dress come in, but I didn't have time to track her down, have her look at it, MEASURE her... you know, all those things. (I suspect it would have been slightly too big, though. She's probably a 4 or a 6.)

A good chiro is worth their weight in painkillers and TENS units.

Way back in the late '90s, a real estate agent told me that in Seattle, buyers are relatively reluctant to make counter-offers if they think the price is too high. In true Seattle fashion, they'll just quietly walk away. Do with that information what you can.

Nyes, it’s a bit of a feeding frenzy. If it makes you feel better, my neighborhood is still pretty hot. I’ve got two new construction sites within a block of me. There’s a place at Woodland Park Ave. and 46th that’s been on the market for a while, though, and I have no idea why.
