Earlier in the week, the assistant realtor went to our old house to see how things were going with the "get ready to sell the damn thing" project, and smelled gas. Some context: the gas stove there is old-ish, and the pilot light for a burner going out was not an unusual occurrence. But being smart, she contacted the gas company, who sent someone out and (after much moving of things) discovered that the connection from the gas line to the stove had a small leak.

But hey! The house didn't blow up, either then or OMG WHILE WE WERE LIVING THERE.
Soooooo the nice person from the gas company turned off the gas. When the house is shown to interested sellers, the gas will be turned back on. Did I mention the plan is to sell it "as-is" to a developer or dedicated house flipper. Yes, that means we'll get less money, but it also means we don't have to do anything to it.
Interestingly, I wonder if that's part of the reason I've been slowly been feeling better and with slightly less brain fog.

So! That's how things are going in JilliLand. How are you folks?

Things are calming down as Dor is coming back out of hypomania and we are working on mitigating the pendulum swing to depression. We are working very hard at organizing things around here so they work better for Dor, and on adjusting things so they can work better for me as well. We continue to chase the illusive diagnosis and treatments for her mystery illnesses.
I miss you. I have gifts for you. And I just had a lucrative flash idea for you and Peeve that I am going to email to you. Just a "things to consider when work is not SO insane". Something that you should be able to make happen with a minimum of effort on anyone's part.

I've been having fun "wake up at 2:30-3:00 AM for 2 hours, no matter what time you go to bed!" adventures. Do not like.

How are things, dear diary? If I can hold it together until March I have a 3-day girls weekend at the local con. Cyborg has been quite proactive about doing dishes without being asked. Apparently not attending any of the Big Three Tours so recently announced which makes me woebegone. And I keep smelling spring onions in the living room.

Me? I had a fun weekend, but I didn't get done what I wanted to get done.
