 Yesterday was our TWENTY-FIFTH wedding anniversary. Both of us kept saying things like "It doesn't feel like twenty-five years?!".

Like all long-term couples, we've had our ups and downs. But no matter what else is going on, we love each other.

From half of one long-term couple to you both--We were sitting in our side-by-side chairs this afternoon, cozy with a furnace that works, comfy after a nice lunch, quiet for some time, and I realized I am really happy. Ups, downs, alarms, hardships, losses, celebrations, and we're still here. Our love has been a bit battered, a bit like a punching dummy. But it survives, and we, together and individually, are flourishing. I can wish the two of you nothing less.
