Things. Many things.

- Packing to move is proceeding, if rather slowly. My goal this weekend is to go through/pack all my cosmetics except the daily use ones. Any maybe clear the jewelry armoire.

- We are going to a friend's Halloween party next weekend. While costumes are optional, I am taking this opportunity to sacrifice a few white flowing nightgowns in order to dress up as a gothic heroine vampire victim. Will I be able to find fake blood that doesn't use corn syrup as a base, will I make my own with honey as a base, or will I custom-mix some red gel eyeliner with dark red pigment and have my bite marks and blood spatter be dry, not fresh and glistening -looking? I haven't decided.

- Tonight I (finally) pack up some things to mail off in time for Halloween! The last item arrived while I was in L.A., muahahahaha.

-The air quality around here has been TERRIBLE. Like, above 200 terrible. But the rain came last night, so now we can have windows open and get some fresh air moving through the house.

- Work is in the middle of budgeting hell, which means I'm attending a lot of meetings and saying "Have you thought about how much technical writing work, which includes writing and reviews of all customer-facing language, this project will need?". And then I get to set boundaries! I love this game! (I actually kind of do, even if it involves looking at spreadsheets, which has always been a weak spot of mine.)

So! How are folks?

BLOOD

If you are making your own and you won't be ingesting it, blue-tinted liquid laundry detergent is a great base liquid

Wouldn't corn syrup or honey based fake blood stay sticky and transfer onto the hosts furnishings, your car, and everyone you hug (if you are into that)? Not that I know; I've never used the stuff. Just seems like honey stays sticky forever when it spills on the shelf.

You have a time frame for the move that you are shooting for?

I also recently moved so I sympathise! We are out of the moving chaos, or at least I am (flatmate had a lot more stuff than I did)… The Halloween stuff sounds awesome.

I’m gonna attend a party during the week with some of my uni mates and prolly just hang out at home on the actual day, perhaps try to find some ritual time.

The rain cleared up the air quality here too, although now the daily highs are around 53F, so the windows will be staying shut until about next April at this point!

Good luck with the packing - it sounds like you're being very organised about it and getting started early.
