We are so behind on packing to move, but we can't really start packing until we do sorting, because until we do sorting we have no place to put packed boxes.

Relatedly, when I told my psych we had bought a house and were moving, he said "I'm going to refill your Xanax prescription". Nice psychiatrist. Good psychiatrist.

So I'm distracting myself with planning my outfits for the upcoming 3 (possibly 4) MCR shows.

Tacoma:
  • Black sleeveless maxi dress, with one of the high-collar pin/whipstitch on exterior chemisettes attached, and worn over petticoats.
  • Wide elastic cincher belt - either the one with the skeletal hand buckle, or the one with the two-headed circus bat buckle.
  • My leather motorcycle jacket that I've had since the 90s. This means pockets to hold everything, and I won't need to have a bag with me!
  • Hair up with a flower crown.
  • Very Good Mask and my cane.

Inglewood CA 1:

  • Black gauze replica of this dress (thanks to the Madwoman in the Attic), worn over petticoats.
  • Wide elastic cincher belt - the plain one, so I can layer the Noli me Tangere belt over it.
  • Small leather purse hanging from my waist (and under the belts) to hold my stuff.
  • Hair up with a flower crown.
  • Very Good Mask and my cane.
Inglewood CA 2:
  • The Valerie dress from Gloomth, worn over petticoats.
  • Wide elastic cincher belt with the skeletal hand.
  • Small leather purse hanging from my waist (and under the belt) to hold my stuff.
  • Hair in a high ponytail that is teased out to enormous size, some sort of floofy veil adornment.
  • Very Good Mask and my cane.
The possible Inglewood CA 3:
  • Ivory satin poet blouse with lace ruffles and the embroidery of "Drink from me and live forever" down one arm.
  • Black full skirt w/ petticoats
  • Black cotton sleeveless lace-up dress w/ the bustled back
  • Small leather purse hanging from my waist (under the overdress) to hold my stuff.
  • Hair in a high ponytail that is teased out to enormous size, some sort of floofy veil adornment.
  • Very Good Mask and my cane.
The reason for a possible third show in CA? The Stroppy One told me I should stop by the venue box office and ask if there are ADA -compliant seats available and how much they are, because "You're already DOWN there, and I have no idea what to do for a birthday present for you, so ..."

Yes, dear. Give me MCR for my birthday. :: grin ::

1) please watch for email from me tonight re: psychiatrist

2) Peeve giving you MCR for your birthday filled me with so much delight I actually laughed audibly

3) my favorite part of all of these outfits are the final line items. <3 Concerts just sound so dangerous to me with all the stuff running amok these days. Please make sure you are up on all vaccines!! <3

Oof, sorting and boxing and shifting and stacks and just ugh, MOVING, ugh WORST. *flops dramatically*

I hate to ask you this during this time of trial but have you received and shipped your Code Orange packages? Your package would have been shipped from New Orleans.

I have the Blackwood Castle dress in red. I need it in black, too.

As for box life, I could in theory take a carload or two as temporary storage here at the Devil Girl House. We'd have to work out how to get it in and out.
