 - I took Friday off so we could go look at a couple of houses. The sun was fiercer than I had expected, and ended up cooking myself a little bit during the car ride. Ugh. I loaded up on electrolytes and Benadryl as soon as I got home, which staved off the worst of the looming migraine.

- Saturday was the long-awaited one night only shop by Blood Milk Jewels. One of my local fandom friends was curious, so we hung out in line with other feral Blood Milk fans for ... 4 hours. We were #s 11 and 12. You see, Blood Milk brings one-of-a-kind pieces to these events, hence us crazy people lining up for hours. :D 

The Stroppy One arrived just as doors opened, so he was able to provide design feedback to help control my "OMG SO SHINY" magpie instincts. I did indeed get a LE item - a sterling silver pendant of a crescent made of two eagle talons, with one of the most glorious moonstones I've ever seen as a teardrop hanging from the center. It's beautiful, and I'll take photos soon. I also bought a general catalog item that I'd been coveting, thus cleverly avoiding shipping charges.

HOWEVER, even tho' I wore very lightweight clothes and had an ice pack stuffed down my bra, I still got a little more overheated than is good for me, which means I spent all of Sunday kind of floppy and groggy. I've got the sensitivity to sunlight, heat, and garlic - when do I get the fun side effects of vampirism, dammit?

Dad's side of the family is from Slovenia, so maybe that gives me the same sort of advantage?

If it were Slovakia, you could claim Erzsébet Báthory. I'd have to look into Slovenian vampires, but I'm sure we can find some misunderstood/conspired-against noblewoman (don't even get me started on E. B.) or okay-he-was-actually-bad-but-the-poor-people-still-loved-him warlord!

Nice! I hit the Fremont Sunday Market yesterday for semi-precious stone pendants to replace the two necklaces I broke in as many weeks. I have to have something that matches my tie-dye dresses, of course.

That stone is amazing. I think a mascot costume cooling system might be the only thing to get me through temps in the 80s now. This summer I have had an ice pack and cooling towel just to go on evening walks. Another couple that walks at night calls us fellow Night Walkers!

Well, I had sworn off Bloodmilk for a couple of reasons and then I saw THIS. And your IG post with your rose quartz ring, my god. Now I have revived the Bloodmilk covet list that I'd shelved... ah. And I am so glad you made it to the pop-up and found something beautiful!!
