Coveting of slow fashion items

 In my ongoing consideration of shifting my wardrobe to "smaller but better quality", I've been finding more small gothy fashion designers that I want to buy from.

Blackwood Castle. They're currently offering only two items in two different colors (black or white for one, black or crimson for the other), but both those items are aimed directly at my aesthetic tastes. And they're made from cotton - yay breathable fabric!

Am I considering buying the Victoria dress? Yes, yes I am. $150 for the fabric and type of work that would go into it is actually a reasonable price. I just need to be brave enough to measure my waist to see if their 3X will fit me.

the dress is lovely, but I am not sure how I feel about that underbust wide belt. My fear is that it would make me look pregnant.

I am surprised you re not wanting the Wilhemina nightgown though.

Same, that sash over the ribs is just itching to make me look terrible :(

I am RIDICULOUSLY short waisted, so the sash would probably sit at my natural waist.

A friend on Twitter shared photos of her wearing the nightgown; IT'S PRINCESS SEAMED. So yeah, I may get that instead.

The Victoria in crimson calls out to me. Do I need it? Not really. But I'm leaving that tab open.
