It is getting harder and harder to find the motivation and energy to write Gothic Charm School posts, and this worries me.

Is it inspiration or motivation thats lacking?

Worrisome indeed. There are plenty of things to rant about these days, but energy is a little harder to come by.

Eh, even dining on champagne and filet mignon requires a break every so often. You're allowed to take time off from a voluntary obligation with no explanation required to your readers. If you are feeling super guilty about it, a brief "life is happening and I will come back when I can" post should be sufficient.

One cannot force the muse!

Commenting in agreement with danabren: it is certainly OK to take a break when you need one, and it is totally understandable that you would need one. But also I felt drawn to ask if you are feeling unmotivated to write GCS in particular, or are feeling low-energy about writing in general. You've been doing GCS for a long time, and there's nothing that says you have to keep doing the same thing. So if you just feel like doing something different... your platform is yours, and your readers want to read you and share in your imagination & experience, whatever you want to share.
