 UPLOADED. I UPLOADED MY YULETIDE STORY AHEAD OF DEADLINE. I AVOIDED THREAT LEVEL: BEARS.

I'll read through it one more time to make sure there aren't any last-minute edits that need to be done, but I'm pretty pleased with the thing. 

Now to wait for Dec. 25th, when stories are revealed, and I get to find out what my fic secret Santa wrote for me! (Author reveals happen on Jan. 1.)

In other news, because there was not a lot of work travel this year (because people at my company aren't idiots), there was surplus budget. The VP of our org sweet-talked the upper management into giving him a chunk of it to use for "office improvements" for us: in other words, we have until 12/27 to buy and expense anything ("as long as it's legal or ethical") to improve our work-from-home life. With a pretty high limit. Hel-LO new desk chair, which I have been in dire need of. I've been here almost three years and am still not used to how well this company treats the employees.
