1. Mist them with a cleaner (usually 1tsp mild soap to 3oz water). 2. Gently rub their fur with a slightly damp cloth. 3. Let them air dry, then use a clean “slicker brush” (pet grooming brush) to carefully brush and detangle their fur. Don’t yank the brush, but work the flexible wire bristles into the tangles and wiggle the brush until they smooth out.
That is my favorite segment on The Repair Shop. Two lovely British ladies who bathe and repair stuffed critters. The joy on peoples faces! The patience paid off Clovis looks dashing!
