 Thanks to an odd collection of events, we now have our very own madwoman living in our attic. Which is great, because she's a good friend and incredibly easy to live with. ALSO, she's a professional baker who is bored during the Seattle lock-down. 

I have decided the looming apocalypse is the correct time to break out the antique china ("Senorita" from Royal Albert) and the extra fancy goth silverware ("Bone" by Michael Aram). It's not like I don't have time to hand wash it!

The looming apocalypse is also the correct time for super glittery eye makeup. Yes.

Hahaha it is a very well catered apocalypse so far. And yeah.

I have bought so many beautifully embroidered linens at thrift stores that people obviously thought were "too good to use" so they never did that it's changed my own thinking on the subject. Our nice things should be worn out when we go.

Do you have the Michael Aram candlesticks too? Loved that collection. I use my wicked skull and roses plates every morning on the "dead and breakfast" bar. A professional baker is too wonderful.
