Our Thanksgiving plans were totally felled because I woke up with a hellacious sinus migraine that then turned into one of the please put me in a coma for a few days, it would be better than this migraine. I spent the day on the couch under a heated blanket and cats, taking heavy-duty pain meds at regular intervals.
In fact, the only times I have left the house since Wednesday have been to go to the usual Friday night dinner, and to the spa. I didn't plan to be a hermit over the weekend, but sometimes these things happen.
---
I've put the Patreon on hold for December. It's traditionally a month of stress and chaos for me, and trying to get everything written for the Patreon would only add to that. None of my patrons have berated me or flounced, so I don't think I upset anyone.
---
In Shallow Fashion News, I have apparently cycled around to the "Mmmm, yes, heavy stretch velvet dresses, yessss" stage again. Princess-seamed full skirted dresses made from the really good 4-way stretch velvet, worn over lace blouses and full skirts are a very simple way to get that "unnerving governess who is probably a vampire" look that I adore. Sure, there are no pockets (grrrr), but I use a pretty velvet bag on a ribbon around my waist to solve that problem.
Project Stereotype Technology is going well: my leather jacket does indeed distribute weight evenly across my shoulders, which means less pain in general, yay! I've also gotten many compliments about how great the contrast between the jacket and my unnerving governess fashion is, so that's nice.
How are you folks?

HUrrah for the jacket having the optimal effect!
My own thanksgiving plans got waylaid by a migraine that first hit wednesday night. I woke up thursday filled with "nope" in general but since my plans were to spend the holiday with Irissa and her son (who is unmedicated adhd and mostly deaf but who also will not eat turkey or just about any of the traditional thanksgiving foods), she suggested that it would be fine on my end to miss the day and time with the boy (he went to his dads on friday). They had french bread pizzas on the day. And then she and I made a traditional thanksgiving dinner yesterday with turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and gravy. Today I am turning the turkey carcass into soup. Still migraining, but better than thursday.
So I am generally being very low key, and hanging out with Irissa's (almost a year old) kitties and trying to get back into the headspace of my writing. Now that I have crossed 100K on it, I know where to end it and would really like to get there. I am in that lovely downhill part of the writing where the climax is clearly visible.
