I got a phone call from a recruiter at The Agency that I sent my resumé back to this week. I'm meeting with her Monday (which means no going into the Evil Empire that day, oh gosh I'm disappointed to be skipping my hour bus ride home) to fill out some paperwork and to discuss a contract position she just submitted my resumé for.

This puts me closer to to going on a real live interview and getting a real live job! Yaaaay!
In random other news - MonkeyBoy, due to his amazing lack of perception, is full to the brim of antibiotics because he managed to contract blood poisoning. On both arms, from working on his car, getting rust into some cuts, and not cleaning up properly. He didn't notice anything was wrong until a co-worker of his said "hey, what's with the red streaks going up your arm?"
shakes head
How could someone not notice having blood poisoning? How?
Anyways, 2 trips to the hospital later, he's at home under strict orders not to do anything. His wife, Queen of the Monkey people, is on her way to Kansas for some writing seminars she's going to be teaching. I'm amazed she didn't turn right around and come home, but nevertheless, I hope she has a lovely time and doesn't go crazy.
What else, what else... hmmm, shallow fashion update:
- went to Grind last night w/ Weaselmom & her lovely boy. She looked cute cute cute! in black&red stripeyness - stripey shirt, stripey tights, and a black skirt. I put her hair in low pigtails, which amazed her. (Note to Weaselmom - it's really not that hard to do, and I promise I'll teach you the trick to it.). In keeping with the red&black theme, I was wearing a red hoop skirt, black chiffon over skirt, and my black w/ red dragons cheongsam (one of those "Chinese" style dresses w/ the Mandarin collar & frog closures), my hair back in 2 little buns and wrapped w/ black & red spiky hair scrunchies, and black hairsticks topped w/ silver dragon charms and red tassels through the buns. I also was wearing false eyelashes that would not have been out of place on a drag queen, and red glitter lipstick. Wheeee! Now if my indigo w/ white-gold phoenixes cheongsam would just show up in the mail ... or my white & black corset. I'll be happy w/ either. grin
Upcoming wackiness - dinner w/ Allergy Queen and her husband, the Fremont Solstice Fair, a wedding, and Gourmet club. Somewhere in all this, I need to find time to exercise, do some ritual work, and sleep. AND call Shechem, because I miss her lots.
